Investigation of the relationship between health expenditure and profit level of farmers in Bayelsa State, Nigeria

Health expenditures on profit effect farmers in Bayelsa State, Nigeria were examined. Purposive and random sampling procedures used to select 216 respondents for the study. The average monthly health expenditure net farm income per farmer N664 N17,995.31k respectively. regression model showed that had an inverse relationship with profit. Their total healthcare was significantly influenced by gender, age, household size, education, income, cost of medical services. result correlation analysis shows there is a significant negative between study area (r=0.625, p<0.05). It recommended more affordable services should be provided as well reduced transport costs; price ceilings introduced.
